Knights of the Air

Book 3: Lost!

They say that war brings out the worst in men, and love inspires their best. That’s not Lance Fitch’s experience.

Autumn 1917. 100 Wing, led by Lance Fitch and his mentor and commander, Arthur Wolsey, are winning air supremacy against a Circus weakened by Richthofen’s wounding. More good news: America has entered the war against Germany.

But the Germans gamble all on forcing an Allied surrender before American troops arrive in Europe. Their hammer-blow assaults burst through British lines and 100 Wing are sacrificed to plug the gaping holes. Their orders are to ground strafe the German advances to a halt, ‘whatever the costs.’ Meanwhile, Richthofen recovers, recruits fresh talent and unleashes the new and formidable Fokker Triplane.  As 100 Wing fights against annihilation, the twists of war stress Lance’s loyalties and friendships in ways he never dreamed possible.

Knights of the Air, Book 3: Lost is a riveting, rollercoaster ride through the dangerous skies of France, as well as the hearts and minds of the rich cast of characters. A captivating story of the human spirit emerges amongst the flying lead, howling machinery, fire and smoke.
